Transportation Options
Do Not Accept Rides from Unsolicited Drivers
For your safety, do not accept transportation offers from drivers or individuals who approach you without your request. Use only authorized taxis, car services, rideshare pick-up areas, hotel shuttles, or airport transportation staff.
Public transportation
Get to and from JFK Airport easily with the AirTrain, subway connections, and Long Island Railroad (LIRR).
Taxis
Licensed taxis are available outside each terminal at JFK. Flat-rate fares to Manhattan and other destinations are regulated for your convenience.

Use apps like Uber and Lyft to get a ride to or from JFK. Follow signs to Ride App Pick-Up areas.
Rental cars
Most rental car companies are located at Federal Circle, accessible via the AirTrain. Some operate from off-airport locations, but their shuttles also pick up at Federal Circle.
Shuttle services
Use one of our authorized shuttle, van or private car services to get to and from JFK.
Drop-off and pick-up areas
Use our designated areas for quick passenger drop-off, pick-up, or waiting in your vehicle. Options include curbside unloading, the pick-up and drop-off lot, and the cell phone lot for short stays.
