Our role is to run, maintain, and continually improve the terminal in partnership with the Port Authority and the many organizations that make up the airport community. Sustainability
When you travel through Terminal 4, you are part of our effort to build a more sustainable future for New York.
We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and creating a healthier space for travelers, employees, and our community. Across the terminal, you’ll find initiatives that conserve resources, reduce waste, and support a more sustainable future.
Water bottle refill stations and water-efficient fixtures help reduce single-use plastics. Our catch basin cleaning program keeps pollutants out of local waterways and protects surrounding ecosystems in and around Jamaica Bay.

Inside the terminal, we continuously monitor indoor air quality, and all cleaning products meet strict safety standards so you can feel comfortable during your time at T4.
Reducing our footprint across operations.
We’re also investing in cleaner energy by introducing solar power throughout the terminal and building a fleet of all-electric buses that reduce emissions on the airfield.
