Partial AirTrain Service Disruption Howard Beach

Please be advised that due to essential maintenance on the AirTrain JFK system, there will be a partial service disruption on the Howard Beach and Lefferts Boulevard line to and from Federal Circle Station on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, from 11:00 PM through Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, at 09:00 AM. 

During this period, free shuttle bus service will be provided from the Ground Levels of the Howard Beach, Lefferts Boulevard, and Federal Circle Stations.

  • Howard Beach passengers to/from the Central Terminal Area, transfer at Federal Circle Station. 
  • Passengers utilizing public transportation to/from JFK Airport should take the  Train at Jamaica.
  • Passengers parking in Longterm Parking at Lefferts Boulevard should take the free shuttle bus service.
  • Passengers arriving into Terminals 5/7 who plan to take an FHV should also take the free shuttle bus service to the remote FHV Lot at Howard Beach. 

AirTrain JFK trains will continue to operate service on the Jamaica line to Federal Circle Station and to all Airline Terminals. as well as within the Central Terminal Area. 

Customer Service Agents will be available at all open Air Train stations and at Bus Stops to assist customers with information and wayfinding.

In case of inclement weather that delays the scheduled work, the contingency date of Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, at 11:00 PM through to Thursday, August 13th, 2026, at 09:00 AM will be utilized.
